The Alchemyst is a book written by Michael Scott in the year 2007.It is the first book for the series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel(there's 6).

The good
.The Alchemyst is a book that is fun to read again.
.Michael scott had made the characters very unique and humuorous especially Dee.
.You will love how he redone the history and the character.

The bad
.I had a problem with the time I mean what only three days has passed since the begining of the book.

Quick summary
Josh was working in a bookshop owned Nick and his wife Perry.Suddenly a man named Dee came wanting to take a book called Codex from Nick and Perry because it contains the secret to immortality and more.Nick and Perry fought Dee using magic in the end Nick and Perry lose,Dee kidnapped Perry.Josh managed to rip 2 pages of the Codex before Dee took it(Dee didn't notice because Sophie(Josh's twin sister)was hitting him.......... buy the book if you want to kow what happen.

The conclusion
The Alchemyst is a really fun book to read it has plenty of humour,adveture and action.Dee was my favourite character sometimes he's funny,sometimes he's terrifying.
Lots of historic person has been appears like Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel,John Dee,Joan of Arc(second book)and Michael twist their history into something more magical.The Alchemyst is a very fun book to read.
