I read Gifted book number 3 which is Here Today Gone Tomorrow. The person on the cover is Emily the dreamseer. The story focuses on Emily and Jenna. This book is of course written by Marilyn Kaye and it was published in 2010.Like the first two books the story focuses on how the students try to control their power and keep them away from anyone who's trying to abuse them.
The High and Low
.The story is more engaging than the first two books
.More of the Gifted class are shown
.Amanda isn't one of the leads
.The story feels a little bit stale
Quick Summary
Emily always felt guilty about her father death. The day he died she had a dream but she didn't understand of it then so she said nothing.Even now she feels useless because she can't actually understands her to help anyone. One day she had a dream which one of the gifted students is absent and it came true as the day pass by more and more of the students dissapeared.Until even Emily herself gets kidnapped. The remaining students must rescue their classmate before it's too late because the students are being forced to rob a bank.........................That's it I guess.
The Conclusion
I really liked the first two books in the series and one of the biggest reasons were Amanda and Jenna(Especially Amanda)but sadly I found that Amanda isn't one of the leads this time, she does have a lot of appearence but she is a better character when we actually know what she is thinking. The story is definitely more adventurous than the first two books.Marilyn Kaye knows that if she didn't take the story to another level some readers will feel tired. This time around more of the Gifted student are showed and explored. While the author did managed to take the story into a more engaging field we cant help to feel a little bit tired of the series probably like the first two books it's quite short and sometime that makes a book uneven and a little bit rushed.Don't get me wrong I do recommend you to read this book while waiting for the next installment which will probably have Amanda as one of it's leads.
