Pathfinder

Pathfinder is a book written by Orson Scott Card(some of you may know him as the author of The Ender's Game)Truthfully I bought this book for trying to save money I have a limited budget now so I wanted to read something that is worthwhile and when I saw how thick it was I thought I might as well read it(it has about 650 pages). The book was published in 2010 and receive positive reviews.

The good
.It has a great story(well explained story and to me I felt it gave me something original)
.The characters are wonderfully created

The bad
.It is a little confusing for me at first(I mean the book has about 650 of pages so it can seriously turn of some people if the start is confusing for them)
.The ending was too cliffhangery(I don't know even if this a word)for me

Quick summary
Rigg is a boy who lives with his father on the mountains.he has a special ability he can see people's path but strangely his father doesn't have a path.He teaches Rigg evrything on how to speak, hunt, survive, etc. One day he gets impaled by a tree(not a spoiler)he ask Rigg to go to her sister(Param)While crossing a waterfall he tries to save a boy named Kyokay but fails because suddenly the past solidify and one of the path(a man)stops him......... that's all I guess.

The conclusion
Pathfinder is definitely a suprise to me.When I started the story was a little slow and confusing not to mention some characters were a little dull and unfleshed at first but when the story advances The story becomes clearer and the characters becomes more fleshed and likable.I was a bit suprised on the ending I read book with a cliffhanger ending but to me I felt like that the book just stopped from the middle of a chapter and The End.Anyway reader will definitely find Pathfinder as a great and enjoyable book providing that they didn't stop reading around the first 150 pages of course.

The Demon's Surrender

Finally I were able to find this book and boy did it took me a while. Actually I already found this two month ago but I like the cover so I didn't buy it.Anyway everybody this is the third book of the series it is written by Sarah Rees Brennan. It was published in 2011 the series received positive reviews(by yours truly too).

The good
.Sin in her own way is a good protagonist(much better than I expected)
.The story has great plots and twist and a good conclusion to the series while not perfect I still felt contented enough

The bad
.I liked Sin but I hoped Mae appeared more, the first half of the book she didn't have a very big part on the book.
.I don't quite liked the cover.

Quick summary
Sin has now compete for the authority of the market with Mae and of course she doesn't like it.Merris announced that whoever managed to get Celeste's Earring will be the leader.Sin of course feels a little bit disadvantage because Mae has Nick backing her up.When she found her that her sistar is a magician she quickly hides it from the others because fearing that her sister would be banished from the market.................I guess that's it

The conclusion
My first reaction when I knew that Sin was going to be the Protagonist I were absolutely shocked,I mean on the other cover of the was Alan so I expected him or Jamie to be the main character I mean Come on Sin doesnt have that big of a part in the first two book anyway I was quite suprised on how Sin made a good protagonist not as good as Mae but better than expected.Plus with its great story and twist some part of the book I really didn't expect it is a definitely great book but I do want to complain on the cover,I don't understand why she made the cover like that I mean the first two cover were illustration so why must she made third one with a real person.Okay putting my blabbing aside The Demon's Surrender is a great ending to a vey great series.

The Ring of Five

Hello,is everybody having a nice February.Anyway last week I read a book called The Ring of FIve,it is written by Eion McNamee and it was published in 2010.When I first bought the book I actually intended to give it to my little brother's birthday but then I found out he didn't want a book so I just decided to buy something else and make this book mind(I could still have given this book to him even if he doesn't want to but if I do give him I don't think he will read it and I don't see the point of wasting)

The good
.Nicely illustrated cover
.I Loved the story,The story is full of excitement and twist.

The bad
.I felt the story lacks character development

Quik summary
Danny is a boy who has two different colour for his eyes and his ear is a little bit pointy so everybody in his school make fun of him.His mother decided to send him to another school(a boarding school)When he arrives at the boarding he finds himself not in a normal school but in a school for spy who protects the upper world(our world)there he meets Les a messenger(a person with wings)who saves him from.......................That's it I guess.

The conclusion
Boy who goes to a place to realize his true potential type of story isn't that original if you know what I mean(Harry Potter,The Knightley Academy,The Imagination, etc)but each has their own up and down.It has agreat story that I really enjoyed the theme is eho to trust and who will betray so it always keep me gussing but to me The characters lacks development to me it happened to fast.Harry and his friends,Henry and his friends,Jack and his friends. Compared to those three Danny's friendship with his friend feels a bit weak but perhaps that's what being a spy all about.
